We are a grassroots, volunteer-based group of parents, therapists, educators, and other professionals who are passionate about promoting neurodiversity affirming practices and improving the

quality of life of neurodivergent folx in the greater Chicago area.

We believe that radical inclusion, equity, and justice can make the world a better place for everyone.

In order to meet the needs of neurodivergent folx in the greater Chicago area, we provide accessible, neuro-affirming resources centered on embracing neurodivergence, advocating for neurodiversity-affirming practices, and creating community among neurodiverse individuals and families.

Our Programs & Events

Neurodiversity Book Club (Virtual and In-Person)

Join us for our quarterly book club where we discuss neurodiversity-related books by neurodivergent authors. We currently meet on Sunday afternoons in September, December, March, and June.

Neurodivergent Adult In-Person Meetups

We sponsor the Chicago Neurodiverse Social Club, which hosts a variety of meetups for neurodivergent adults (18+) across the Chicago area.

CAYRgiver Circle Virtual Meetups for Parents & Caregivers

Our free, monthly meetup for parents and caregivers of neurodivergent kids and teens meets on Zoom. Check out our Events page to learn more and RSVP for the Zoom link!

Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) for Inclusive School Planning

This newly-forming group will help turn our plans for an inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming microschool into a reality. We need your input to make this school the best it can be!

Mentorship for Therapists & Educators

Are you an educator, therapist, or other provider looking for mentorship and community with other ND-affirming professionals? No matter where you are on your journey toward neuro-affirming care, join us for in-person and virtual meetups.

We host quarterly in-person events and join other community partners in several events throughout the year.

Advocacy & Community Outreach

Outside of our events, we are always looking to connect with community members who share our vision for a more inclusive, accessible world. We engage in advocacy on both a local and national level.
