Normalizing
Neurodiversity

CAYR -- pronounced "care" -- stands for "come as you are" and represents our commitment to inclusion and accessibility for neurodivergent people in the Chicago area.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to making the world a better place for people with minds of all kinds.

What we do

CAYR Connections aims to provide accessible, neuro-affirming resources for neurodivergent individuals and neurodiverse families in the greater Chicago area.

Who we serve

Neurodivergent Kids & Teens

We create spaces where neurodivergent young people can feel safe, understood, connected, and free to be themselves.

CAYR Co-op | CAYR Camp | CAYR Clubs

Parents, Caregivers,

& Neurodiverse Families

Our family events help parents, caregivers, and family members find connection, practical support, and affirming resources for navigating life together.

Employers

& Workplace Teams

We help build more inclusive workplaces through practical training, consultation, and strategies that support neurodivergent employees.

Neurodivergent Adults

Created by and for neurodivergent adults, the Chicago Neurodiverse Social Club offers opportunities to build community, explore interests, share resources, and enjoy supportive social experiences.

Educators, Therapists,

& Other Providers

We equip professionals with neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed tools for supporting neurodivergent people with respect and understanding.

Community Organizations

& Public Institutions

We partner with schools, nonprofits, government agencies, and other institutions to make their programs, services, and events more neuro-affirming.
